Forney is a small town with big ideas and plans. The vision that growth and commerce is vital to sustaining a city was evident in 1873 when the town fathers moved a village North to the rail line. And it is still our vision today as we welcome new retail centers and residents to our hometown. With growth comes change and with good management comes retention of the atmosphere people moved here to live in. Forney enjoys an accessible city government and an award winning school district. It also has a very active Chamber of Commerce that understands the issues that small business owners face daily. The Forney Chamber of Commerce is a wiling partner with the Forney Economic Development Corporation in planning and executing groundbreaking ceremonies. The better job the EDC does at attracting business and the Chamber does in promoting those businesses results in a winning situation for the city and its citizens.

We also offer the wonderful experience of antique shopping less than 30 minutes from one of the most concentrated shop-a-holic's favorite city- Dallas. The highway that originally carried consumers away from Forney now brings them back! And now the second Highway that crosses the southern sector of our town has been enhanced with a new North/South link that connects our new residential and retail developments with our already established business district.
